Good evening parents and guardians. This is Mrs. Benson with a quick announcement regarding carnival. Carnival ride ticket prices have gone up. The cost for tickets this year is $65. Our ride company has not raised ticket prices for many years so I feel this is fair. Please forgive me for quoting the wrong ticket price in our original school blast yesterday. Tickets will be available for pick up tomorrow after school with the eldest child in your family’s teacher. Only a parent or guardian may pick up the tickets which must be signed out. Please note that if you have not paid for your tickets you will not be allowed to purchase the all inclusive ride wrist band good for Saturday, March 25. We would prefer that you pay for the tickets when you pick them up but we will take payment at a later time. Please note that if you wish to pay with a credit card you will need to do so in the front office. A new booth sign up will be out in front of the faculty room tomorrow morning. Thank you for signing your child up for this year’s St. Jane Frances de Chantal Fashion Show. Your child will need to be dropped off on February 11th NO LATER than 5:30 p.m. at the Kindergarten classroom. Once you have dropped off your child, you may proceed to the gym to be seated. Children can be picked up after the fashion show is over as students are not to be brought back in to the fashion show. Also as a reminder, you need to turn in your index cards with your child’s information. No late paperwork will be accepted as your child’s name will not be placed on the program. Our announcer will state your child’s name and attire while they strut down the runway. Please turn this card in to your child’s teacher ASAP.

We continue our carnival booth sign ups this week. Please follow the directions listed for sign up. Carnival will be Friday, March 24 to Sunday, March 26. Mark your calendars. Your room parents will be sending letters home regarding donations for our silent auction. Please pay attention to these letters. Remember all proceeds from fundraising go directly back to your students. Ride tickets are to be picked up by a parent or guardian from every family beginning Monday, January 23. The price for tickets is $60.
A special thank you to all who attended last week’s PTO meeting. I cannot tell you how much your support means to our school community!
We continue with our STAR testing this week. Please make sure your students are in attendance every day and on time.
We are currently taking sign-ups for our Fashion Show. Please encourage your child to sign up for this fun event. More information to follow.
We will have our school Mass on Friday, January 27 at 8 a.m. in the church. Immediately following Mass we will have our Student of the Month Assembly combined with our Trimester 1 Honors Assembly that had to be cancelled last Friday due to rain. Our Student of the Month Assembly will celebrate those students who have excelled in Caring, PE, and English Language Arts. We invite everyone to attend both Mass and the assembly.
Catholic School’s Week is fast approaching! Grades 3 and 4 will be hosting a pancake breakfast that will begin after the 7:30 a.m. Mass and continue after our Family Mass that kicks off Catholic Schools’ Week on Sunday, January 29. They are struggling to get volunteers to help. We need you! Please sign up outside grades 3 and 4. We will also have an Open House on Sunday, January 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please make all of your family and friends aware. We want all students to have the chance to attend our wonderful school! Please attend all events!
Registration information for the 2017-18 school year went home last Friday. Please make sure you take care of registration. If your accounts are not current you will not be allowed to re-register your child. Please note that those who register first will get the first chance to apply for our limited financial aid for next year. We are also registering new students. Please tell your family and friends and encourage them to attend our school!
Please remember our Scripsense fundraiser. Please review the handout that went home a few months ago or speak directly to Mrs. Benson. This is a quick and easy way to help our school while making online purchases.
