Good evening parents and guardians. This is Mrs. Benson with your weekly update for Monday, March 6 to Friday, March 10.
We are beginning week 10 of Trimester 2 which means Trimester 2 is more than halfway completed. Please make sure you are checking your children’s progress online and are speaking with your child’s teacher if necessary.
Congratulations to our Decathlon team! Decathlon took place earlier today. We are very proud of them!
Many parents have asked about the start date for the 2017-18 school year. We have not received word from the Department Of Catholic Schools as of this message. Once we receive the calendar from them, I will let you know the start date for next year.
Registration for next year has begun. Please make sure you meet the deadlines listed on your registration to receive a reduction in fees as well as to avoid being put on a waiting list for next year. We want you and your child back next year!!! Please remember that we are offering a $50 reduction in registration fees to any family who recommends a new family who registers and pays with us. The limit is 2 recommendations which means you could receive up to $100 off of your registration for next year!
Wrist bands for carnival will be going on sale Monday, March 6 after school in the front office. Please note that you will only be allowed to purchase a wrist band if you have met all of your carnival financial obligations.
We will be attending Stations of the Cross led by grades 1 and 7 on Thursday, March 9 at 9 a.m. in the church. All are invited to attend. Students must be in full Mass uniform for stations. Our school mass will take place Friday, March 10 at 8 a.m. in the church. All are invited.
Any student who is out of uniform will be required to attend a detention Monday’s after school from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the music room. Please make sure your child is in appropriate uniform.
Looking ahead, our Family Mass will take place on Sunday, March 12 at the 9 a.m. Mass. PS, PK, and Kindergarten will be sponsoring our Pancake Breakfast. Please sign up to help.
We also need your help with carnival silent auctions items. Please speak with your room parent if you would like to donate. We are still signing up for carnival a new sign up for booths will be going out in the next few days.
I also have a few safety reminders. Please slowdown in the parking lots and do not talk on your cell phones! We want to keep everyone safe. Please remember there is no pick up or drop off on Hamlin Street, whether I am there or not. Please respect our policies and respect any school representative who is enforcing the policies. It sets a very bad example for your children if the adults in our community are not following school policy.
Thank you, have a great week, and God bless!
