Good evening parents and guardians. This is Mrs. Benson with your weekly update for Monday, October 17 to Friday, October 21.
This week our students will be celebrating Respect Life Week. The students will be learning many things in their classrooms about how to respect all life. A letter went home to all parents earlier this week explaining the events of the week.
We begin STAR Testing Window 2 this week. Please encourage your student to do their best on the assessments.
On Monday, October 17 grades K-8 will be taking a field trip to Underwood Farms to learn how pumpkins grow and how a farm works. We will be travelling by bus and the cost is $20 per student. We do not need parents as chaperons as the majority of our school staff will be chaperoning. Permission slips and payment were due on Friday, October 14. If your child has not turned in a permission slip and payment please have them do so first thing Monday morning. Any child without a permission slip and payment cannot attend the field trip and will be sent home. Any student who chooses not to attend the field trip must stay home as well. Student may wear their PE uniforms and should wear comfortable shoes as we will be walking.
Tickets for the talent show are available in the front office. Ticket prices are $10 per person. Everyone wishing to attend the Talent Show must purchase a ticket. The Talent Show will take place on Saturday, November 5 at 7 p.m. in the gym. All proceeds will go towards our music program.
If you have received your Tuition Agreement please return it signed as soon as possible. All families must have a current tuition agreement.
If you have not turned in your student’s Emergency Card it is imperative that you do so immediately. We must have the information on file in case of an emergency. I cannot stress how important it is that you turn in a completed and current Emergency Card.
We will have our all school Mass on Friday, October 21 at 8 a.m. in the church.
Our October Family Mass will take place on Sunday, October 23 at the 9 a.m. Mass. Grades 5 and 6 will be sponsoring our pancake breakfast. Volunteer sign- ups for the breakfast can be found between grades 5 and 6. Anyone may volunteer. Spaces are limited so sign up soon. If spaces are full, please do not cross other people’s names out. There will be many volunteer opportunities forthcoming.
Your room parents will be contacting you soon regarding our Halloween Festival. We are now accepting candy donations for our festival. Please turn the donations in to your child’s teacher with a receipt and they will sign off on your volunteer hour card.
I would like to thank those parents who volunteered at our Parish Festival last week. Your participation was very much appreciated!
Thank you, have a great week, and God bless!
