Good evening parents and guardians. This is Mrs. Benson with your weekly update for Monday, October 3 to Friday, October 7.
Thank you to all of our families who worked so hard to make our first Pancake Breakfast a success. We raised just over $659!!!! It was great to see so many of you at the Mass and attending the breakfast.
We will have a very special free dress day on Monday, October 3. All students may wear a blue t-shirt with their PE uniform shorts to show their support of Stomping Out Bullying as October is Bullying Prevention Month.
We will also have a fundraiser free dress on Tuesday, October 4. Flyers have gone home describing this free dress.
On Tuesday, October 4, we will have our annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assissi. The Blessing will begin at 8 a.m. All animals must be in crates, on leashes, or restrained in another appropriate way. Pet parents are responsible for cleaning up after any messes the pets leave. The animals are not allowed in the classroom at any time. I hope many of you will attend this one of a kind event.
Please make sure you are checking your student’s grades online. This is the best way to catch an academic problem early before it is too late. If you need your code please contact the front office.
If you have not received a tuition agreement one will be going home soon. Please note that if you require financial aid you must re-negotiate every year. Any family applying for financial aid must present their most current taxes and complete a financial aid application. This is required of all families requesting financial aid. If you have not followed the procedure your Tuition Agreement will list the full amount for tuition for the 2016-2017 school year. Every family must have a completed and updated Tuition Agreement each school year.
Please take a moment and go to our school website and complete our parent survey. We encourage you to do so as we need your help to gather information for our WCEA/WASC Accreditation that will take place next year. Thank you for your help!
There will be no school on Friday, October 7 due to a Faculty In-Service.
Our parish is holding a Parish Fiesta Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 9. This is a great way to earn volunteer hours. If you are interested please call the Parish Office at 818-985-8600.
Thank you, have a great week , and God bless.
