A Note from the Principals

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had a refreshing 3-day weekend. I know many of us needed it to try to catch up on rest & recover from illness. I know it feels like my family (and our staff) have been taking turns getting sick. Hopefully this flu & cold season is almost over... Just a reminder that if you are going to send medicine to school (even cough drips) please fill our a medicine authorization form and send it to the office. We would be glad to help administer any type of medicine during the school day.

Looking forward to the sunny weather- Mr. Marra is going to be starting a gardening elective next trimester! He ie in need of some donations. Please see the Schoolspeak wishlist if you need more service hours or would like to help!

I would like to remind all parents that, for the safety of our students, please follow all driving and parking laws during pick-up and drop-off.

We exceeded our goal of $6000 in our chocolate sale fundraiser. We sold over $8000 in candy this year. THANK YOU to everyone who participated and went above & beyond. The magic show on Friday was so much fun!

New Social Media Challenge: "Tripping Jump Challenge"

Parents need to know about the newest social media challenges in order to speak with their children about their expectations of behavior. This newest challenge encourages lids to video tape a "friend" and pretend to do a slow-motion jump video. The unsuspecting child is then tripped from behind when they jump up consequently slamming their head into the floor.

Mrs. Giron Says: We are literally just finishing up our school-wide unit on child safety with our focus this year being on internet safety. PLEASE be aware of what your children are watching online and speak with them constantly about the real-world consequences of their online activity.

A Note from the Principals

Happy Tuesday everyone!

We hope you all had a fun 3-day weekend. The teachers were at a professional development yesterday working hard together & learning new skills. Mrs. Richardson recently learned to make photo collages and I wanted to share one she made for Catholic Schools Week. She did a great job capturing all the events of the week!
Speaking of learning new things, Ms. Nerkins & the journalism elective have been creating a weekly news video, "Spartans Speak" for our students. Check out the first broadcast on our Facebook page if you haven't already! #AlwaysLearning

Reminder: ALL candy money is due to the office by Friday 2/7 if you want to qualify for prizes. All money received after that will not be eligible to receive prizes.
