Welcome to the start of Holy Week. Today’s Gospel reflects on Palm Sunday and the passion of Jesus. Let’s take the time this week to be grateful of the love that Jesus so freely gives us. There is no after school care on that day. • Carnival Hours - This is the last opportunity to sign-up for carnival volunteer hours. The sign-ups that are out are the only sign-up sheets that remain. If you need extra volunteer hours for the top portion of the service card, you may do so. Also, a letter will go out when we come back from break on how to sign in/out during carnival volunteer hours. • Emergency Evacuation Form – As part of our safety procedures, each student must turn in the emergency evacuation form. The form is needed so that we can practice different emergency drills by the end of the month. This form needs to be on file and given to the teacher by tomorrow, March 26. • Yearbook Dedications – If you are an 8th grade parent or would like to create a student tribute, yearbook dedications can be purchased for $100 by April. For more information, please see Ms. Rygiel or Mr. Ramirez. • Annie – Scene 1 practice in Kinder room from 3-4 PM. The money for the Annie t-shirts are due 3/26. Welcome to the 5th Sunday of Lent. Next week will be the start of Holy Week. Today’s Gospel reflects on John’s version of the agony in the garden. Let us take the time to remember our struggles and how God walks with us in our difficulties. He calls us to come closer to his heart. We are halfway through the season of Lent. Today’s Gospel reflects about Jesus healing a man that was born blind. Let us take the time to reflect how we can open our eyes more to God’s love and to the people that surround us. The Knights of Columbus Spelling Bee is on March 15 (Grades 1-4) and March 20 (Grades 5-8) at Our Lady of Grace in Encino. • St. Patrick’s Day/Kite Day – This Wednesday, March 14 is $2 Green Free Dress. Happy 3rd Sunday of Lent! Today’s Gospel reflects about Jesus in Jerusalem. There, he drove out the money changers from the temple and talks about it being destroyed, yet rising on the 3rd day. In Jog-a-thon fees and food sales, we raised $3,452. We are almost half-way in reaching our goal to purchase the new gate buzzers for increased school safety. Special thanks to Mrs. & Mr. Whited, Mrs. Roumbus, Mr. Cuevas, Mrs. Batte, & Ms. Madanyan. • Movie Night – Our Movie Night on Friday was a great community building success.
