Summer Work

6/12/2020

Good Morning SJF,
Happy last day of school! This summer the students will have access to Freckle. Freckle is an online learning platform that allows students to practice Math and English Language Arts at their own level. Freckle continuously adapts to each student's individual skills, so each student is getting the appropriate challenge, whether they're working at, above, or below grade level. We ask that your students spend 30-60 minutes per day on Freckle.com practicing Reading and Math skills.

Each class has a class code. The students will need to input their class code and their first and last names. Students entering K-2 will only need to input their last initial. We have attached a video on how to access the Freckle website, as well as a parent support page if you have any questions. If you need help or have any questions please feel free to contact me at sdominguez@stjanefrancesschool.org.

Our website has been updated with a supply list for each of the classes. If you are having trouble finding anything on the supply list, please let us know. The supply lists are located under the Academics tab.

A Note from the Principals

“Green was the silence, wet was the light,
the month of June trembled like a butterfly.”
― Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

I fear we are all in a different place emotionally than we were last Monday...
The news reports and current events from all over the country have me holding my breath to see what comes next. I hope you are all staying safe at home. I have added some resources below if you are having trouble answering questions or talking to your children about racism, protests, and social unrest.

This will be the last week of academic work for the school year. The end of the trimester is on Friday. Please be sure to have your students turn in all missing or late work by Friday.

Thursday is the last day for  discounted registration for our Florida trip for spring break 2021! Contact Mrs. Valero for details lvalero@stjanefrancesschool.org

Saint of the Day (6/1)
Every Saint has a story & Saint Justin Martyr never ended his quest for religious truth even when he converted to Christianity after years of studying various pagan philosophies. Read more below:
