A Note from the Principals

After last week's tragedy at Saugus High School I want to take a minute to pray for those families who are grieving and the students who were effected. I also want to assure you that our teachers, staff, & students participate in monthly emergency drills, including lockdown drills. Our teachers and parents are vigilant in addressing any instance when our students are upset or arguing. One of the big benefits of Catholic Schools is that our campus and community is small and very secure. May Saint Christopher and Michael the Archangel continue to watch over our students and families to keep us safe.

Thank you everyone who joined us for our Family Mass & Harvest Festival yesterday. It was so much fun to see all of our students perform and have fun together.

Parent-teacher conferences are this week. Please see your teacher if you were not able to sign up for a time on schoolspeak.
Thursday & Friday are 12:30 dismissal. There will be no Hip Hop class this week.

There is NO SCHOOL next week. Have a fantastic Thanksgiving break!

The week we come back will be out bookfair! To celebrate we will be having an In-n-Out lunch truck on Thursday December 5th for a family picnic & Read-a-Thon. Pre orders are going out today.
There will be NO TICKETS SOLD ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT

Have a great week!
Mrs. Giron & Ms. Aceves

THE DIGITAL PARENT
Tips and Tricks for Parenting in the 21st Century

This tip is from: NPR.com

The overuse of technology has overtaken drugs, sex and bullying as the biggest parental worry, according to the annual Brigham Young and Deseret News American Family Survey.

But what are we actually supposed to be doing about it?

Author, Jordan Shapiro, argues that parents aren't spending enough screen time with our kids.

Saint of the Day (11/19)
Every Saint has a story & St. Agnes left home to follow her sister, St. Claire. Her family attempted to bring her back by force. They tried to drag her out of the monastery, but her body suddenly became so heavy that several knights could not budge it. !  Read more below:

A Note from the Principals

Happy November! Last week was a whirlwind of excitement from the Halloween festivities to the All Saint's Day school family activities. I, for one, was sure glad for the extra hour of sleep! This week should be much more calm but remember that next week is the end of the trimester! Can you believe it?

If you have a student in 8th grade, the financial aid paperwork for high school went out last week. If you need another copy or would like more information please see the office BEFORE Thanksgiving.

Our art fundraiser is officially underway! If you would like to purchase any items, all order forms are due next week. Thank you for your support!

Reminders:
- There is now a Box Tops App that you can download. You just scan your receipts & we will automatically get credit for all General Mills products...no cutting required.

We would like to wish Mrs. Sangalang a very happy birthday (Tues. Nov. 8th). May God continue to bless her and all of the good she does for our community!

Have a great week!
Mrs. Giron & Ms. Aceves

FORTNITE Mania…
Kids of all ages are obsessively playing Fortnite on their phones, computers, PlayStations, Xboxes and Switches. When they’re not playing Fortnite they might be watching streams of other people playing it on Twitch or Youtube. The game’s almost hypnotizing popularity has many parents worried. Here’s how to manage.
