“Give of your hands to serve and your hearts to love.”
― St. Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) May 13, 2018 Dear St. Jane Frances Families, My name is Ashley Giron and I am very honored to have been chosen to serve you and your children as principal of St. Jane Frances School for the 2018-19 school year. I would like to thank all those who have already graciously welcomed me into your wonderful community. In my short time here I can already tell that our school is a joyous and exciting place to be. Fun fact: My parents were married at this church in the 80’s! (So this school already holds a very special place in my heart.) Catholic Education is at the very core of my beliefs. I attended both St. Cyril of Jerusalem (in Encino) and St. Dominic Elementary (in Eagle Rock) from grades K-7. After high school, I earned a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, a Multiple Subject teaching credential, and Masters in Education from Cal State University, Los Angeles. I have worked at St. Finbar School in Burbank for eight years and my oldest son, Evan, started kindergarten there this year. Evan, my husband, Jose, and our youngest son, Julian, are all looking forward to coming to the fiesta this year and going on every single ride multiple times! Over the past year I have been a part of the Onward Leaders program in the Archdiocese as co-principal of Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Hollywood. I know that this upcoming year will continue to be a year of growth for me both personally and professionally. I am a lifelong learner and my main focus this year will be to assist in educating each and every student- body and mind, soul and spirit. As this school year winds down and the new one begins, you will see me on campus more frequently. My official start date as principal will be July first, and I hope to make the transition as seamless as possible. Please come by and say hello! I am looking forward to building relationships with all of you and working alongside this community to continue the success of St. Jane Frances School. As we move through our year together, I will keep each of your families in my prayers every day and, as our beloved Pope Francis asks us each day, “Pray for me.” Many Blessings, Mrs. Ashley Giron [email protected] Dear St. Jane Frances de Chantal School Community,
