A Note from the Principals

The Advent season is upon us. Traditionally Advent is a time of preparing and waiting. To me, it seems this whole year has been a time of waiting... Advent is also the beginning of the church's liturgical calendar and hopefully a new beginning for us all. We encourage you to use this time in your families to pray together and become closer to God & each other. Here are some fund advent activities to get you started:
Adult Advent Calendar
Advent Bingo
Advent Activities

We will be collecting food donations for our Pan de Vida food pantry from now until Christmas Break. Please bring any donations to the school office or your classroom.

We start filming this week for our Christmas Video! If you are interested in having your child participate (either from at home or on campus) please fill out this form:  https://forms.gle/GUizSyDtGfWsUUKk6
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Marra: zmarra@stjanefrancesschool.org

Congratulations to Mr. Marinoff and his new wife! They didn't let this crazy world get in the way of starting their lives together. We wish them joy and happiness for their future.

P.S. THANK YOU for all of the birthday wishes :) It felt like you were all here despite being so far apart!
Love, Mrs. Giron

REMINDERS:
PRAYER REQUEST: Please take a minute to send up a prayer for Frankie's Mom in first grade. She is currently in the ICU after undergoing a routine outpatient procedure. We will have NO SCHOOL next Monday 12/7 for professional development.

We have great news to share! The Department of Public Health has approved our waiver to reopen grades 1st & 2nd. Today our students joined us back on campus in small cohorts and we couldn't be more excited.
Also, the Archdiocese has won the lawsuit filed against the CA Governor's Office so hopefully we will have more good news to follow for grades 3-8. *Fingers Crossed

We will not be having school on Wednesday in observance of Veteran's Day. Thank you to our Veteran on staff, Mr. Cuevas, Mr. Whited and all of the brave men & women (& their families) who have served our country!
