Our campus is alive once again with happy students and plenty of learning happening. Everything is falling into place and we are definitely off to a great start this year!
The Boys and Girl's club is on campus daily afterschool, Homework club has begun already for afterschool tutoring, and our Tae Kwon Do classes will begin after Labor Day. Here is the flyer for Tai Kwon Do if you're interested: 2018-19 Flyer.
We are happy to say that morning care will begin this week. The church lot gate will open at 6:45am for drop off. Families using the service will be charged $5/day and will be billed at the end of each month. All students on campus before 7:30 will be required to go to the library and pay the $5 daily rate.
STAR testing starts this week. Please be sure your students get ample sleep and eat a great breakfast every day. The STAR test is a great way for our teachers to get to know our students' abilities and plan for instruction. You can expect to see the results from the test at our parent conferences in November.
Finally, if you haven't already, we ask that all of our parents who spend time on campus be fingerprinted and Virtus trained for our children's safety. Here are the details on how to do that: Safe Children.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11
I look forward to seeing everyone at Back to School Night on Thursday! We will begin at 6pm in the downstairs hall (De Chantal Hall).
NEW DROPOFF PROCEDURE
In order to increase the safety of our students, the faculty has decided to stop the morning valet through the campus. There will now be 2 drop-off locations:
1. Church parking lot- park and walk OR valet drop off. (please note: @ 7:45 the church gate will close and all students must enter through the Hamlin office gate)
2. Hamlin office gate- driving south on Hamlin street will be the student drop off.
Boys & Girl's Club
Over the past week, I have seen so many happy faces in our new afterschool program! If you haven't looked into it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by what they offer.
Bonus: now they are waving the $85 registration fee for this school year! 2018-19 Flyer
