View this email in your browser A Note from the Principals Good morning SJF Families, Halloween is next week! Students may wear their costumes to school on Tuesday (12:30 dismissal). Reminder that all costumes must be school appropriate with no: blood/gore, weapons, bare stomachs or short shorts, open toed shoes. If you have any doubts please ask your classroom teacher.  We will have a costume parade during morning assembly at 7:45am. All parents are welcome to stay for the parade and for the trunk-or-treat fun starting at 9am. Thank you to those who have volunteered their cars to be decorated with your room parent. All other parents who would like to volunteer, please sign up on school speak today for your desired grade level.  We are asking for any candy or small toy donations for Trunk-or-Treat. Please no candy with peanuts. Donations for candy will be 1 hour per 2lb bag or $30/hr for small toys.  Coaching: We are winding down the season of our fall sports and are in search for volunteers who are interested in becoming CYO certified coaches for the winter sports- boys basketball and girls basketball. As coaches, we are committed to creating a positive culture for our sports at SJF. We want leaders who are committed to being present for practices during the week and games throughout the season. It is a mandate that any/all coaches must attend a Play Like A Champion Today Coaches class to earn a CYO PLC Coaches Card. You also must be Virtus trained. If this sounds of interest to you please reach out to me, and we can discuss further. Coach Minnock [email protected] We are looking for more students in grades 3-8 who are interested in Altar Serving this year. This would be a commitment to serve mass during our Friday masses and at least one Sunday a month. Please let Mrs. Giron know if your child is interested in Altar Serving.  Reminders from last week: Santa's Workshop will be back this year and we are looking for donations. We are looking for items that would make good Christmas gifts. All donations will be given service hours ($30/hour). We have put together an Amazon list with acceptable uniforms. This list includes, pants, shorts, skirts, jumpers, ties, & mass shirts (it does NOT include PE uniform, polos, or mass sweaters). We do let the students know directly, but we think it is important to communicate directly with the parent when possible.
