Dear St. Jane Frances de Chantal School Community,
More than ever, we are called to pray for peace in our families, our community and the world. As we continue to pray for our world, let us continue to pray for those that are affected by the tragedy in Las Vegas. I received an email from Dr. Baxter, our Superintendent of Catholic Schools, regarding it that I would like to share with you: Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles join the nation and the world in prayer and mourning for the victims, families, and loved ones either directly or indirectly involved in the tragedy that occurred in Las Vegas this weekend. As you continue to offer prayers and remembrances at Mass, we ask that you keep a special place in your hearts for the St. John Fisher Parish School community in Rancho Palos Verdes. Mrs. Lisa Patterson, a school parent and PTO President, was among the tragic victims who died as a result of the shootings. Lisa and her husband Bob have three children, one still in 2 nd grade at the school.
