Week of September 4-8, 2017

Dear St. Jane Frances de Chantal School Community,
 
Thank you to all of you who participated in the Back to School Night raffle. Congrats to our 3 families who received free service hours from the raffle. The winners were announced last Monday during morning announcements.
 
A few reminders:

• STAR testing finishes this week. 
• Volleyball tryouts were postponed last week due to the heat. They are this Wed. & Thurs. from 3:30-5 PM. If you need more information, you can talk to Coach Dominguez (3rd grade). 
• Thank you to those that have responded to the call of being a room parent! We are still looking for parents to volunteer in grades 1, 4, 5, & 7. If you have questions about being a room parent, you can talk to Mrs. Whited (Kindergarten). 
• The Kindness Club, made up of mainly 5th & 6th graders, perform acts of kindness throughout the year. On Tues. - Fri., we will be collecting $2 in support of helping survivors of Hurricane Harvey. 
• On Sept. 22, we will be collecting $30 to help purchase items for Santa’s Workshop. Your service card will be marked - it will be via the oldest child or if you have an only child. It is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.
• Pan de Vida is hosting a cereal drive. When you donate a regular size of cereal from Tues.-Fri., your child will get free dress on Thurs., 9/14.
• The Knights of Columbus, one of our parish ministries, is hosting a disco dinner dance on Sat., 9/16 in the Parish Gym. Proceeds will go to the school and parish. Attached is a flier.
